“Home Stories” Editorial Features and Video Productions

As part of an ongoing collaboration, Freunde von Freunden produces inspiring personality-based editorial features and short documentary films for Siemens Home Appliances. Based on a concept that FvF co-developed, explored topics include: functionality of rooms, conceptual living, mix of styles, outdoor living, unique building materials, home technology and interior design, all in the context of contemporary homes that reflect the Siemens brand aesthetic.

Protagonists and their homes are sourced from FvF’s community—guests include architect Arno Brandlhuber and his Antivilla project, Juerg Judin’s transformed gas station and Kolja Stegemann’s floating home. Starting with stories from Germany in 2015, extending to Europe in 2016, we now tell stories in this format worldwide. The content is published on the FvF website, reaching its international fanbase of design-minded individuals but also used by Siemens for Corporate Digital Communication. Initiated by FvF, the stories have also been co-published by international magazines and online influencers like Dwell, Huh, Yatzer and Hypebeast.

Built-in Kitchen Project

The kitchen project is a collaborative work between Freunde von Freunden, Siemens Home, Der Raum, Freunde von Freunden and three selected international Disruptors from Finland, France and the Netherlands.

With its experience and excellence in manufacturing appliances and kitchen environments, The Siemens Home Kitchen Project creates an innovative vision for kitchen design and its growing social purpose. The strong focus on new technologies within the home environment, a sharp design influence and expertise for smart kitchen solutions is an essential part of the concept, process and final result. The concept was inspired by the ideas and perspectives of the three disruptors overseen by a professional kitchen designer, the concept follows a new path of creating a kitchen: Each disruptor individually collected ideas about how a kitchen benefits their life – focused on the kitchen as the social center of life. Their collective inspiration was professionally adapted for the selection of devices, technology solutions and overall design to fullfill the requirements of the Siemens Home Kitchen Project.
